The first National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts (NADFAS) was started in 1965 by our founder Patricia Fay. In 1968 the national organization was formed, becoming a charity in 1972. Some 50 years later our core aims remain the same – enjoyment of the arts across a wide spectrum. In 2017 the name was changed to The Arts Society. There are now more than 90,000 members worldwide.
