Welcome To The Arts Society Benahavís

The Arts Society Benahavis – formerly Benahavis Decorative & Fine Arts Society (BDFAS) – was established in 2012. We are one of more than 385 local societies worldwide that are members of The Arts Society.

Our objective is to further the enjoyment, knowledge and awareness of the Arts Internationally and to stimulate interest in the cultural heritage of Spain.

Our Society is a lively and light-hearted group.  If you have not been to one of our talks before please do take a look at the short video above.

We welcome new visitors and if you like what you see why not join us and enjoy discounted membership rates for talks and priority bookings for outings?

Our talks run from October through to May and cover a wide range of artistic and cultural interests. Plus we hold a wide variety of events. I look forward to welcoming you to more exciting events and lectures.

On the 3 February, The Arts Society will once again open the doors on its annual Art Exhibition. With 30 artists showcasing their work together with the chance to take part in ceramics, painting, framing and photography, Art in Action is the name of the game.

This is a brilliant show for all ages including young people who can enjoy a hot junior rock band or a dizzying virtual reality ride. See if you can spot the winner of the Young Artists’ competition or be a winner yourself entering our Start A Novel competition.

A special feature will be the Young Artists’ Workshop for children aged 5 to 10 which was a star turn last year. To take part phone Paco on 659 626 510. Whatever you choose to see or do we hope Sunday 3 February will be a festive occasion when the Society can give something back to the community.

Everyone is welcome – do come and join us.
